School Dress Code

Studies have shown that school dress codes have a positive effect on students and school communities by creating an atmosphere of belonging.  A child’s self-image influences their behaviour.  School uniforms create a positive and deliberate framework focused on learning.  Parents have found that uniforms make mornings easier.  A smooth start in the morning is often the key to a productive and happy day.

The Brooklin Mill Montessori School student uniform consists of easy-care pieces that you can mix and match to manage your child’s clothing budget.  A crested top, black dress pants, and black (preferably non-marking sole) shoes form the core school dress code.  Other school uniform pieces include a royal green tartan dress or tartan ‘skort’, khaki shorts, gym apparel, and crested cardigans or vests.  Our School Dress Code is waived for our Foundations, PreCasa,  and Casa Mista classes, although we encourage all students to follow the school dress code for colour.
