Our Team
The staff team at Brooklin Mill Montessori School is very much looking forward to working with you and your child over the upcoming school year. Each team member has been carefully selected for their qualifications and meets the school health & safety requirements regarding police clearance, immunizations, and emergency training. More importantly, we all share a love of working with children, a passion for learning, and the skills to create a warm and stimulating learning environment for the children.
Our staff demonstrates life-long learning and implements improvements through on-going professional development, self-reflection, and collaboration regarding Montessori practice, early childhood education, parenting, and child development. We welcome any questions regarding our qualifications and experiences in working with children. We also love to share insights in order to inspire students, educate parents, support colleagues, and grow in our chosen profession. Let’s talk!
Meet the School Leadership
Mrs. Ciara Gauthier, Principal
Mrs. Ciara Gauthier joined Brooklin Mill Montessori School in 2012 as our Vice Principal, and was promoted to School Principal in 2019. She has over 10 years of private school administrative experience. She earned her Early Childhood Montessori Diploma from the Toronto Montessori Institute in 2003 and has been teaching and coaching teachers since 1998 at various levels. Mrs. Gauthier is a gifted leader and strong advocate of student success. You will find her to be compassionate, approachable, and an excellent problem-solver. She is also the mother of five children, the youngest of whom attended Brooklin Mill Montessori School.
Mrs. Pamela Poole, Vice Principal
Mrs. Pamela Poole applies her experience, attention to detail, coaching skills, and strong customer service orientation as our Vice Principal. She coordinates the classroom teaching teams, including scheduling, and leads the Summer School program. Mrs. Poole holds a Child and Youth Worker diploma from St. Lawrence College and a Montessori Assistant Teacher certificate from the Canadian Montessori Teacher Training Institute. She is also trained and experienced in applied behaviour therapy and encourages our special needs children in achieving their goals. She is the mother of 2 daughters, the youngest of whom attended our school. Mrs. Poole has over 20 years of teaching and leading experience, including 17 years at Brooklin Mill Montessori School
Mrs. Jennifer Grundy, School Director
The school’s founder and director, Mrs. Jennifer Grundy, is a mother of 2 girls, both former students of Brooklin Mill Montessori School. Mrs. Grundy was captivated by the Montessori learning environment when she saw the affirmative impact it had on her daughters. Mrs. Grundy made a career change and is a trained Montessori teacher, holding a diploma from the Pan American Montessori Society, and a graduate of the Ontario Federation of Independent School’s Principal’s Course. She has taught at the Casa level and is a strong believer in early childhood education. Mrs. Grundy is university educated and holds 2 professional designations.
